Woodhouse is not only a cosy home itself but also a beautiful neighbourhood full of forests and lakes. In the radius of 15km there are Komorze, Brody, Drawko and Pile lakes. Łubowo is located near Lubicko Wielkie lake and the surrounding forests are part of the Drawskie Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This area is very attractive for kayaking, fishing, mushrooming, hiking and cycling. What is more, area close to the house is full of relics from World War II. Local highlight is Borne Sulinowo where firstly German training ground was located that was taken over by soviets and where Historic Military Vehicles Rallies take place every year.

Kayaks and motorboat rental

We have 4 kayaks with life jackets for rent for our guests. We also offer a small paddle boat ideal for fishing. Additionally, you can also rent a 4HP engine that does not require a motorboat license. Lake which is near the house is not covered with a designated quiet zone which in Polish law forbids any use of engine powered motorboats.

Historic Military Vehicles Rallies in Borne Sulinowo

Borne Sulinowo which is located 10km from Łuboowo was a major USSR military base during the cold war. Apart from the historic military vehicles rallies you can also see abandoned soviet military complexes and eat at traditional Russian restaurant decorated with soviet insignia.

Cycling and walking trails

Surrounding forests offer a variety of walking and cycling trails. Especially interesting is the terminal moraine trail which has unique diverse terrain features. You can also access on foot the famous trail of Połczyn “Switzerland” which goes along the waterline of a few different lakes.

Woodhouse is a perfect place for everybody who seeks tranquillity, peacefulness and being close to nature. The house is located in the close proximity of Drawkie Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We highly recommend kayaking trips over the beautiful lakes of Lubicko Wielkie, Pile or Komorze and also the Piława river.
